PRO NIR Chief Orders Intensified Follow Up Operations in Robbery Holdup Incident in Bacolod

Acting Regional Director of Police Regional Office Negros Island Region (PRO NIR), Romano V. Cardiño, has directed the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) and all concerned operating units to intensify intelligence monitoring and investigative efforts following the reported hold-up incident that occurred along GV Street, Barangay 19, this city on May 28, 2026.

Upon learning of the incident, PBGEN Cardiño ordered the immediate conduct of focused intelligence operations, including the establishment of possible identities of the suspects, validation of information from intelligence sources, and the aggressive pursuit of all leads that may facilitate their arrest.

“All intelligence assets must be maximized to identify and locate the perpetrators at the soonest possible time. We are directing our operating units to intensify monitoring activities, conduct thorough case build-up, and strengthen coordination with community sources and other law enforcement units to ensure the immediate resolution of this case,” PBGEN Cardiño said.

In compliance with the directive, intelligence operatives have intensified information-gathering activities, backtracking operations, and CCTV footage analysis to trace the movements of the suspects before and after the commission of the crime. The description of the suspects and the motorcycle used in the incident has likewise been disseminated to police units and intelligence personnel across the region for monitoring and validation.

PRO NIR remains committed to pursuing all available investigative and intelligence leads to establish the identities of the suspects and bring them before the bar of justice. The Regional Director further assured the public that law enforcement efforts will continue until those responsible are apprehended.

PBGEN Cardiño also urged members of the community to remain vigilant and cooperate with authorities by reporting any information that may assist in the identification and arrest of the suspects.
