Sea Serpents Swimming Team Holds Water Safety Symposium for World Drowning Prevention Day 2026

BAGO CITY, Negros Occidental — The Sea Serpents Swimming Team and School, in partnership with Blue Waves Lagoon Resort and representatives from Barangay Lag-asan, conducted a Water Safety Symposium on July 18, 2026, at Blue Waves Lagoon Resort in Barangay Lag-asan, Bago City.
The activity was held in support of World Drowning Prevention Day 2026, signifying the organization’s commitment to promoting water safety and drowning prevention in the community.
Carrying the theme “Unite to Turn the Tide,” the symposium highlighted the importance of water safety awareness, responsible behavior around aquatic environments, and community participation in preventing drowning incidents.
Organizers emphasized that the event aligns with global efforts to reduce drowning-related deaths through education and awareness, encouraging participants to become advocates for water safety in their homes, schools, and communities.
