Masaligan Troopers Strengthen Urban Warfare Skills Through Urban Combat Course
SAGAY CITY, Negros Occidental — Two Masaligan Troopers from the 79th Infantry “Masaligan” Battalion successfully completed the rigorous Urban Combat Course (UCC) “Assultor Urbicus” Class 31-2025, a testament to the unit’s continuing efforts to sharpen its operational readiness and combat proficiency. 2LT Roden S. Zamora (SC) PA, who ranked Top 9 among the graduates, and PFC Dani Luigi G. Lachica (MS) PA proudly represented the Battalion in this demanding training.
The Urban Combat Course is designed to develop soldiers’ tactical competence and confidence in operating within built-up areas and complex environments. It equips participants with vital skills in close-quarter battle, room clearing, and urban maneuver operations—core competencies essential in modern-day warfare and counter-insurgency operations.
The success of 2LT Zamora and PFC Lachica reflects the discipline, courage, and pursuit of excellence that define the Masaligan Troopers.
