PRO NIR Holds Simultaneous Oath Taking and Donning of Ranks for 167 Newly Promoted Personnel

The Police Regional Office Negros Island Region formally conducted the Simultaneous Oath Taking, Donning, and Pinning of Ranks of Newly Promoted PNP Personnel under the 1st Cycle Calendar Year 2026 Second Level Uniformed Personnel Regular Promotion Program on July 29, 2026 at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NocPPO) Covered Court at Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. In Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City.

The ceremony was led by PBGen. Romano V. Cardiño, Regional Director, and was attended by the Command Group, Regional Staff, Personal Staff, Mrs. Mary Joy Sta. Ana, C, Administrative Unit, NAPOLCOM NIR, newly promoted personnel, their families, and other PRO NIR personnel.

A total of 167 personnel received their respective promotions, consisting of 18 Police Majors, 4 Police Captains, 12 Police Lieutenants, 42 Police Chief Master Sergeants, 5 Police Senior Master Sergeants, 20 Police Master Sergeants, 34 Police Staff Sergeants, and 32 Police Corporals.

The ceremony recognized the professional competence, unwavering dedication, and exemplary service of the newly promoted personnel, marking a significant milestone in their careers. It likewise reaffirmed the Philippine National Police’s commitment to a merit-based promotion system that honors officers who have consistently demonstrated integrity, discipline, outstanding performance, and an enduring commitment to public service.

In his message, PBGen. Cardiño emphasized that promotion is one of the most significant milestones in a police officer’s career, recognizing competence, commitment, and years of faithful service while carrying greater responsibility to lead with integrity, professionalism, and compassion. He underscored that, under the SAFE NIR Dial 911 Program, every promoted personnel is expected to deliver faster, more responsive, accessible, and compassionate police service that strengthens public trust and reflects the organization’s commitment to serving the community. He likewise recognized the invaluable support of the families of the newly promoted personnel and reminded the newly promoted personnel that their new rank marks the beginning of a greater mission to uphold the highest standards of the Philippine National Police through service that is truly felt by every Filipino.

“Sa Police Regional Office Negros Island Region, ang bawat promosyon ay kaakibat ng mas mataas na antas ng pananagutan sa ating komunidad. Bilang bahagi ng ating SAFE NIR Dial 911 Program, inaasahan natin na ang bawat pulis ay magiging mas mabilis sa pagresponde, mas bukas sa pangangailangan ng publiko, at mas magiging huwaran sa tapat at makataong paglilingkod. Ang bawat personnel ng PNP ay kailangang maging simbolo ng serbisyong tunay na nararamdaman ng ating mga kababayan,” PBGEN CARDIÑO said.
