‘Go Out and Vote,’ Gov. Urges Negrenses
A day before more than two million Negrenses troop to their polling precincts, Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson called on voters to “go out and vote.”
“Sa mga pinalangga ko nga mga Negrosanon, I encourage you to go out and vote tomorrow. Your votes matter, and your voices deserve to be heard,” Lacson said in a statement on Sunday.
The governor urged Negrenses to “pray for peaceful, honest, and orderly elections for us all. God bless us all, Abanse Negrense!”
A total of 2,009,564 voters registered in Negros Occidental, including Bacolod City, are expected to vote today.
Negros Occidental has a total of 601 barangays across 19 municipalities and 13 cities.
As for clustered precincts, there are 2,484 in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City.
The province has a total of 354 positions up for grabs in 31 local government units.
Bacolod City, the lone highly urbanized city in the Negros Island Region, has 15 positions.* (EYAMT)
