Magon-on Falls in San Carlos City reopens for tourists
The San Carlos City Tourism Office officially reopened to the public the Magon-on Falls in Sitio Cabagtasan, Brgy. Codcod last March 18, 2022.
Said tourist destination is 40 kilometers away from the city proper and about 1.2 kilometers hike from a tertiary road going to Sitio Natuyay to reach the foot of the falls.
The city government has funded P1 million for the opening and development of foot road to create easy access for visitor’s safety and convenience.
Brgy. Codcod imposed necessary fees thru an ordinance including P50 as entrance fee for non-residents and P25 for locals while P250 for group of six as well as requiring visitors to have tour guides trained by the City Disaster Risk and Reduction Management Office (CDRRMO) on safety and the City Environment Management Office (CEMO) for environmental protection.
Tourism Operations Officer and City Tourism Office OIC Jennifer Saballa-Paran invites all local and foreign tourists to visit Magon-on Falls which is suitable for trekkers and backpackers including people who love to commune with nature.
Paran however urged travellers to be responsible enough by avoiding damages on the flora and fauna as well as help maintain cleanliness in the area.* (San Carlos City Information Office)
