CENECO thanks MORE Power Iloilo, NONECO re Task Force: Kapatid help
The Bacolod City-based Central Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (CENECO) said it is “grateful” to the Task Force: Kapatid augmentation teams from Iloilo City-based MORE Power Iloilo and Manapla-based Northern Negros Electric Cooperative, Inc. (NONECO) for their assistance in its power restoration activities.
In a statement on its social media page, Ceneco said, “this exemplifies the true bayanihan spirit among electric distribution utilities.”
Power lines and other facilities in areas being serviced by Ceneco also sustained substantial damages due to Typhoon Odette.
Engineers, linemen and other personnel from MORE Power and NONECO will complement the crew of Ceneco in restoring electricity in typhoon-affected areas.
Both power utilities also deployed personnel to other electric cooperatives to also augment power restoration works in typhoon-hit areas.
MORE Power also earlier sent its first batch of personnel to help the Kabankalan City-based Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative (NOCECO) in its power restoration works. It also sent the first batch of its relief assistance to southern Negros Occidental particularly Kabankalan early this week.* (APT)
