Kabankalan K-Vlog travel vlogging tilt gets support of Globe & KCAT

KABANKALAN CITY Mayor Pedro Zayco meets KCAT and Globe representatives for the sponsorship of the upcoming K-Vlog travel vlogging competition in the city.* **(City Tourism & Information Office photos)**

Globe Telecom and local cable company KCAT will be the major sponsors of the K-Vlog travel vlogging competition of the City Government of Kabankalan.

K-Vlog is a vlogging competition of the city government through the City Tourism Office, which is among programs in celebration of the National Tourism Month of September.

Mayor Pedro Zayco and other city officials are fully supporting the project that would showcase the culture, arts, food and local industries of the 32 barangays of the premier city in southern Negros Occidental.

Zayco and Globe representatives led by Noly Gutierrez, Area Sales Head, Stew Palma of Area Sales, Eda Mae Laomoc and Mharnie Jean Macalipsay held a meeting to finalize the telecommunication giant’s support.

On the part of KCAT, Joel Dabao, CEO/president of the cable TV firm, represented by Melchor Emar, agreed to telecast the vlogs in the KCat Community Channel.

One vlog entry from each barangay will be accepted. Orientation about the project is ongoing, being undertaken by the city’s tourism and public information offices.

Prizes will be P10,000 for the 1st prize; P7,000 for the 2nd prize, and P5,000 for the 3rd prize.

Special awards will also be given at P5,000 each for entries that will be chosen as Most Loved, Most Shared and Most Liked.* (Jake Gonzales)
