Gov.Lacson leads groundbreaking ceremony of school facilities in San Carlos City
Negros Occidental Gov. Bong Lacson, together with First District Rep. Gerardo Valmayor, Jr., Board Member Rommel Debulgado, San Carlos City Mayor Renato Gustilo, and Vice Mayor Christopher Paul Carmona, led the groundbreaking ceremonies of the new sites of Hunob Elementary School and Punod Elementary School in San Carlos City, today.
The activity was witnessed by San Carlos City SP Members and other local officials, San Carlos Schools Division Superintendent, Anthony Liobet, school administrators, and other guests from the Department of Education.
Gov. Lacson said that he is grateful and honored to join the groundbreaking ceremonies of the two elementary school facilities that is symbolic of San Carlos City’s determined commitment to educational excellence for learners.
“Amidst the current circumstance that radically changed the face of education, today’s event ushers in an encouraging advancement in the development of children,” he said.
Meanwhile, Gov. Lacson also witnessed the signing of the Deed of Usufruct between San Carlos City and DepEd for the Julio Ledesma National High School Extension Site.
The governor said he hopes that the structures will not be mere physical venues only, but an avenue where learners will be afforded the chance at every opportunity that will help them develop academically and socially.
“Celebrating the value of students learning and providing access to basic education through the construction of these instructional spaces, demonstrates our resolve and commitment to investing in the potential of our youth,” he added.*
