CHMSC student wins the Smart’s K-Create for a cause contest
“I was inspired because of the efforts of BTS to work hard on their talents that made them who they are now. I think every one of us can shine when we choose to use our talent and skills in the right cause and with perseverance to challenge these existing abilities.”
Joyfully explained by 19-year-old Kelly Kim F. Sepida, a BS in Industrial Technology major in Architectural Drafting at Carlos Hilado Memorial State College, who recently won the Smart’s K-Create for a Cause Contest.
In an interview, Sepida said that he decided to join the contest because he thought that this could be the way in which he could challenge his skills in drawing plus the prizes were worth the effort that he will pour out.
He also confidently confessed that he had the feeling of winning in the said contest.
“I poured out everything that I got from sketching to rendering the design. I even got sick in the middle of my work but I think that there is something inside me that drives me to showcase my talent and that keeps me going,” he explained.
It was June 2, 2021, when the winners of the said contest were announced and it was just yesterday July 27, 2021, that the prizes had arrived.
Sepida received a Samsung S21, Smart Prepaid 5G sim, and P1,000 worth of Smart load. Aside from these prizes, there will be also a P50,000 worth of premium items featuring his design and will be turned over to the designated student organization of the designer.
“I would like to thank Smart Communications, Inc. for giving digital artists the opportunity to showcase their talents. I hope that this kind of contest will continue so that more and more local artists will be recognized,” he said with gratefulness.* (Diesyme P. Ordilla)
