Julian Marley

A historic first for the Visayas

Global reggae artist Julian Marley is set to bring his signature roots reggae sound to Acacia Hotel and Convention Hall, Bacolod City, on May 24, 2026, at 4:20PM, marking a landmark moment for the city and the entire Visayas region.

As the son of reggae legend Bob Marley, Julian Marley carries forward a powerful musical and spiritual legacy. Known for his electrifying performances, he delivers a deeply resonant experience that connects with audiences across generations.

Julian Marley was raised in a deeply musical environment that developed a sound rooted in authentic reggae, Rastafarian culture, and conscious storytelling. He made his mark in the international scene after winning a Grammy Award in 2024 for Best Reggae Album (Colors of Royal). Some of his popular songs were Boom Draw, Lemme Go, Systems, Cooling Jamaica, to name a few.

Following his appearance at the Malasimbo Music & Arts Festival in Manila, Bacolod stands as the only additional stop on his Philippine visit, making this a rare opportunity for fans outside the capital city of the Philippines. This also marks the first time a member of the Marley family performs in Bacolod and the Visayas, positioning the event as a major cultural milestone.

Joining him are Filipino reggae acts The Wicked Tarsiers and Tropical Depression, creating a lineup that celebrates both global and local reggae culture.

More than just a concert, the event is envisioned as a cultural experience in bringing together music, community, and purpose. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Kalipay Foundation and the Centre for Sustainability.

This one-night-only event signals a new chapter for Bacolod as a destination for international music and cultural tourism.

Concert tickets cost at P1,500 for General Admission, P3,500 for VIP standing, and P25,000 for VIP table (includes 6 VIP passes + 1 premium bottle). Tickets are available at Gutterground (Art District), Coffee Culture (Lacson, Shopping, Alijis), Lunar (27th Lacson), and online: Ticketmelon.
