Province Cited for Fiscal Excellence

The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental earned multiple awards citing its highest locally sourced revenue, outstanding collection efficiency, and remarkable fee collection in Region VI.

The awards include:
*Top 2 – among the 6 Provinces in Region 6 with a Year-On-Year Growth Rate of 8% in Locally Sourced Revenues
*Top 2 with collection of P68,762,360.50 Locally sourced Revenue in Business Tax and Other taxes for CY 2024
*Top 2 with collection of P167,194,995.13 Locally sourced Revenue in Real Property Tax CY 2024
*Top 3 with a year-on-year growth rate of 2% in Business Tax & other taxes
*Top 3 with a year-on-year growth rate of 12% in Economic Enterprise
*Top 3 with a collection of P293,176,015.57 locally sourced revenue in Economic Enterprise for CY 2024
*Top 3 with a 92% collection efficiency on Business Tax & other taxes for CY2024
*Top 1 among the provinces in Region 6 with Highest Locally Sourced Revenue in Fees & Charges
*Top 1 among the provinces in Region 6 with Highest Locally Sourced Revenue
*Top 1 among the provinces in Region 6 with Highest Collection Efficiency in Economic Enterprises

In 2024, the province generated ₱1.34 billion in locally sourced revenue and achieved 102% collection efficiency in its economic enterprises, alongside ₱809.4 million in fees and charges, proving the efficiency of the Provincial Treasurer’s Office headed by Provincial Treasurer Atty. Amy Grace Bolivar.

The Plaques of Recognition were presented by Department of Finance – Bureau of Local Government Finance (DOF-BLGF) Region VI Director Maria Rhodora Gascon on October 9, 2025, in Iloilo City.

The Provincial Government reported a notable increase in locally sourced revenues, coupled with the Economic Enterprise Development Department’s strong collection efficiency.* (PGNO)
