“Negros Sports Monthly Futsal Tournament is one of the many sporting events that our province offers to our athletes. This initiative would further help our players hone their skills and gain valuable experience before stepping to the bigger stage,” said Ms. Ma. Christina S. Gabaya, Sports Development Officer II Negros Sports.

“We have always been a football hotbed. PGNO opted to host a Futsal tournament catering to players who are are into this sport but cannot have a league that is competitive. However, we also emphasize to the coaches that this futsal tournament is more than just winning a trophy or medal, this is aimed towards the development of the players, coaches and our referees as well. It is also an avenue where they can focus more on their mental health and veer away from gadgets,” Ms. Gabaya added.

“Monthly futsal continues through November for the remaining championship categories and Under 12 Girls category as prelude to 2026 Batang Pinoy (Philippine National Games) hosted by Philippine Sports Commission and City of Bacolod as host venue on December 12 – 18, 2026.* (ReJi Hatz / Pitix Sports: Girls Born 2011 Abanse Negrense Futsal League 2026)
