N’96 Looks Good at #1 in Triangular Bowlfest
NOHS 1996 & Friends stayed on top out of 17 participating duckpin bowling teams in the ongoing 15th Triangular Bowlfest 2026 bracketing eliminations at Negros Super Lanes, Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.
After the 3rd Sunday, N’96 & Friends toppled a total score of 4,387 pinfalls including a high game of 128 pins by team captain Cyril Mayordomo of ’96 during the opening day last May 31. Mayordomo was backed by bowlmates Grace Diopenes ’91, Rey Virgo ’86, Neel Arbordaje ’84, James Toga ’96, Victor Gutierez ’96, and Adrian Mayang ’99.
According to the Triangular Core Committee, this year’s participating teams will be divided into three brackets after the final score is determined on the 4th scheduled set of games on June 21. Scores will reset and the top teams in the bracket finals will play an up-the-ladder system championship round to determine the champions in each bracket. The lead organiser added Luis Hervias NHS, with the approval of team managers from NOHS, BCNHS, and DLNHS alumni associations as part of the weekend duckpin bowling community.
Teams expected to compete for the highest prize and best trophy include BCNHS 1981 Mix (4,382), NOHS 1985 (4,311), DLNHS 1991 (4,128), BCNHS 1973-74 (4,119), and LHNHS 1987 (4,112).* (PR)
