PRO NIR Recognizes Outstanding Personnel for Significant Operational Achievements

The Police Regional Office Negros Island Region recognized outstanding personnel for their significant operational accomplishments during the Distinguished Visitor’s Program and Awarding Ceremony on June 1, 2026, at Kanlaon Hall, Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr., Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City.

The activity was led by PBGEN ROMANO V CARDIÑO, Acting Regional Director, PRO NIR, and was graced by Mr. Alvin S. Mojica, MAED, MPA, UP-NCPAG, Head Executive Assistant to the SILG, Office of the Chairperson, NAPOLCOM, whose presence highlighted the importance of excellence, dedication, and professionalism in public service.

The ceremony highlighted the exceptional accomplishments of police personnel in the intensified campaign against illicit cigarette smuggling and illegal drugs. The awardees were recognized for their outstanding operational achievements, marked by intelligence-driven strategies, decisive law enforcement actions, and steadfast dedication to duty. Their efforts led to the successful confiscation of substantial quantities of illicit cigarettes, the dismantling of illegal activities, and the effective conduct of anti-drug operations that resulted in the arrest of drug personalities and the seizure of significant volumes of illegal drugs, contributing to the enhancement of public safety and security in the region.

For their commendable performance as personnel of Regional Intelligence Division, Police Regional Office Negros Island Region in the successful intelligence-driven operation conducted on May 16, 2026, at Sitio Labugon, Barangay Nagbo-alao, Basay, Negros Oriental which resulted in the confiscation of more or less 700 master cases of illicit cigarettes with an estimated market value of PhP 40,110,000.00, and the arrest of ten (10) individuals for violations of Republic Act No. 10643, Republic Act No. 10863, and Republic Act No. 12022.

For their meritorious and invaluable services rendered as personnel of City Drug Enforcement Unit, Bacolod City Police Office in the successful conduct of buy-bust operation that transpired on May 19, 2026 at Purok Fatima, Islamic Center, Barangay 31, Bacolod City that resulted in the arrest of a High Value Individual for violation of Sections 5 and 11 of RA 9165 and the confiscation of twelve (12) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of Methamphetamine hydrochloride weighing 4,182.665 grams with Standard Drug Price of PhP 28,442,122.00 and other illegal drug paraphernalia.

These achievements stand as testament of PRO NIR’s operational effectiveness and relentless pursuit of safer communities.
