Ranked 5 Regional Most Wanted Fugitive Nabbed in Sagay City Manhunt

The Police Regional Office Negros Island Region delivered a decisive breakthrough in its intensified manhunt campaign with the successful arrest of a Ranked 5 Regional Most Wanted Person during a sustained intelligence-driven operation on June 2, 2026, in Purok Santan 2, Barangay Old Sagay, Sagay City, Negros Occidental, marking another strong assertion of the region’s relentless pursuit of fugitives and justice.
The accused was identified as alias “Moden”, 76 years old, married, male Carpenter and a resident of Purok Santan 2, Barangay Old Sagay, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
The Manhunt operation was carried out by Sagay CCPS, NOcPPO, by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of Two (2) Counts of Statutory Rape with no bail recommended. The accused, a known acquaintance of the victim’s grandfather, allegedly sexually abused the minor victim on several occasions and threatened to kill her should she disclose the incident.
The accused was informed of the nature and the cause of his arrest and apprised of his Constitutional Rights and the provisions of the Anti-Torture Law in a language he fully understood. The operation was documented through the use of two (2) Body-Worn Cameras in line with standard police operational procedures. The arrested person is currently under the custody of Sagay CCPS for booking and documentation prior to turnover to the issuing court for proper legal disposition.
