P14.1-M Worth of Suspected Shabu Seized

A High-Value Individual listed under the Barangay Anti-Drug Abuse Council was apprehended, while more or less 2,075 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated Standard Drug Price of Php 14,110,000.00 were confiscated during a successful anti-illegal drug operation carried out by CDEU, BCPO, with the assistance of CIU, and Police Station 2, on July 5, 2026, in Purok Kamunsil, Barangay 3, Bacolod City.

An information was received by the operatives that alias “Wayway,” 25 years old, unemployed, male, single, and a resident of Purok Bolinao, Barangay 1, Bacolod City, has been actively engaged in illegal drug activities in Barangays 1, 4, 35, and other adjacent barangays ni Bacolod City. Acting on the information, the operatives conducted validation operation which revealed that he started to be an illegal drug runner in early 2026, after his wife gave birth to their third child and allegedly received shabu from his source through a cellphone call as instructed, and subsequently delivered it to his downline to different locations within Bacolod City. The operation was carried out after the subject and a poseur buyer agreed to a transaction involving shabu, facilitated by our informant in the area.

Recovered from the suspect during the operation were:
1. Four (4) sachets containing suspected shabu including the buy-bust item;
2. Twenty one (21) knot tied transparent plastic bag containing suspected shabu;
3. Buy-bust money amounting to Six Thousand Pesos (PhP 6,000.00); and
4. Other Non- Drug items.

The suspect was informed of his constitutional rights, including the provisions of the Anti-Torture Act, in a language he fully understood. The inventory, marking, and documentation of the seized evidence were conducted in accordance with Republic Act No. 9165.

The suspect is currently under the custody of Police Station 2 pending the filing of appropriate charges for violation of sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act No. 9165.

PBGen. Romano V. Cardiño, Regional Director, commended the operating units for another significant accomplishment in the campaign against illegal drugs and reiterated the organization’s unwavering commitment to eliminating the drug menace in the region.

“This operation demonstrates our determination to disrupt the illegal drug trade by targeting individuals who continue to endanger our communities. We will relentlessly pursue drug personalities and strengthen our partnership with the public to ensure that offenders are brought before the courts,” PBGen. Cardiño said.
