₱1.56M Worth of Suspected Shabu Seized in Bacolod from 3 HVIs

Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) Police Station 2 personnel conduct the inventory and documentation of the confiscated suspected shabu and other recovered items during October 5, 2026, 1.56 million-peso drug buy-bust in the city.*

Three high-value individuals were arrested with some 230 grams of suspected shabu worth ₱1,564,000.00 in a buy-bust operation at about 11:22 PM on October 5, 2026, at Purok Lampirong, Barangay 2, Bacolod City.

A Police Regional Office Negros Island Region report identified the three as Alias “Rob,” 28 years old, male, single, jobless, and a resident of Purok Roadside, Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City; Alias “Jor,” 20 years old, male, single, jobless, and a resident of Ilagan Street, Barangay 6, San Carlos City; and Alias “Lan,” 22 years old, male, single, jobless, and a resident of Luzuriaga Street, Barangay 6, San Carlos City.

The report added that the operation was carried out by the Bacolod City Police Station 2, with support from the CIU, BCPO. It was initiated following information from a confidential informant regarding the suspects’ alleged involvement in illegal drug activities. A transaction was then facilitated, leading to the successful conduct of the buy-bust operation, resulting in their arrest and the recovery of more or less 230 grams of suspected shabu, along with other items relevant to the illegal drug transaction.

The suspects are under police custody for proper documentation and appropriate legal proceedings for violation of Republic Act No. 9165. The operation highlights the sustained police presence and focused law enforcement efforts being implemented in Bacolod City, particularly as the city observes the Masskara Festival. While the celebration brings together residents and visitors in various activities, police personnel remain deployed and operationally focused on preventing criminal activities and protecting the public, the PRO NIR report said.

“We will not allow illegal drugs to undermine the safety and peace that our communities deserve. This operation shows that our personnel remain vigilant and prepared to act on validated information through lawful and focused police action. As Bacolod celebrates Masskara, we will continue doing our part to help keep our communities safe while respecting the rights of every person involved in our operations,” the report quoted PBGen.
