Series of power outages, low voltage traced to NGCP grid disturbance
The series of Negros-Panay-wide power interruptions and low voltage occuring since yesterday April 27, 2023 can be traced to National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) grid disturbance.
Even Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas, with businessmen and power distributors, called for a meeting with NGCP officials to hear why such incidents are happening.
Treñas told Bacolod newsmen today at the Iloilo City Hall that both the private and public sector incur losses during power interruptions.
Power distribution utilities based in Negros and Panay such as CENECO, NONECO, NOCECO, MORE Power, etc. issued separate advisories that the interruptions are due to disturbances in the NGCP grid.* (Arman P. Toga/NDB photo)
