Panaad sa Negros 2023 opens April 17

Ongoing construction and improvement works at the Panaad Park and Stadium in Bacolod City are expected to be completed before the Panaad sa Negros Festival 2023 begins on April 17 until April 23.

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson of Negros Occidental also said that the pavilions of some local government units at the park and stadium that are still being improved will be available in time for the festival.

The LGU pavillions are the most important and the LGUs themselves are taking good care of the structures. That is where are strength is, the LGUs, they will also find ways to sponsor entertainment in their respective pavilion because they will also encourage their own constituents to come to Bacolod and join the festival, the governor also said.

Earlier, the subsidies for the participating LGUs amounting to P300,000 each were already released by the provincial government.

Among those invited to the festival were President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., Vice President Sara Duterte, and the senators.

Panaad sa Negros Festival is dubbed the “Festival of all Festivals” in Negros Occidental, with all the 31 participating LGUs feature the best they could offer in culture, sports, food, and tourism during the annual fest.* (BGD)
