Buglas Filipinas off to San Carlos City FOF

The Central Bacolod U13 Girls Team “Buglas Filipinas” powered by City Mayor’s Office of Bacolod, in collaboration with Trinity Christian School and Gardenville United Football Club, Inc, is set to prove their prowess in the upcoming Festival of Football, 9-a-side, Provincial Championship, presented by Philippines Football Federation on February 25, 2023 in San Carlos City.

The title holder will then represent Negros Occidental Football Association in Iloilo City Regional Finals against NOSIRFA, Central Visayas FA, Eastern Visayas Regional FA and Panay FA.

Ms. Gloria Rafaella Salazar, GUFCI- President said: “Buglas” the pre hispanic name of Negros Island, had a very rich football history influenced by the early settlers and was highlighted by the international events such as SEAGames, AFC & AFF held in Panaad Stadium, Bacolod City by the former Ceres- Negros FC during pre Pandemic Years, & “Filipinas” inspired by Philippines Womens World Cup 2023 campaign in Australia/ New Zealand to encourage girls that they, too can compete in the world stage football.*
