Sen. Bong Go, Mayor Gustilo Led the Groundbreaking of the Super Health Center
Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go & San Carlos City Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo with Provincial Health Officer Dr. Ma. Maila Bernabe and Brgy. Kagawad Nestor Tranilla led the groundbreaking for the construction of the Super Health Center at Brgy. Prosperidad today, Feb. 8.
Said Health Center is budgeted at P16M from which the P10M came from the Department Of Health (DOH), while the P6M is the counterpart of San Carlos City; construction is to start in April or May this year.
Sen. Go said he is very happy about Brgy. Prosperidad’s Super Health Center, because he learned that some pregnant women in the country just gave birth inside commercial vehicles because the hospital is too far.
He said that the center can be used for birthing, vaccination, laboratory, and isolation facility.
He added that 307 super health centers were built in 2022 and 222 in 2023 throughout the Philippines, with 7 of them in Negros Occidental built in 2022 and 18 in 2023.
Mayor Gustilo and Sen. Go made a blueprint signing for the construction of the said Super Health Center.
Together with Sen. Bong Go was action star Philip Salvador.
Also present at the event were City Health Officer Dr. Arniel Lawrence Portuguez, Mayor Alme Rhummyla Mangilimutan of La Castellana, Liga President Roberto Tuting, and Punong Barangay Lucio Tangayan of Brgy. Prosperidad, City Health staff, and members of the Philippine Army.*
