BACIWA distributes school supplies, promotes water conservation
The Bacolod City Water District distributed backpacks, pad papers and pencils to some 600 elementary students in three public schools in Bacolod, with about 400 more in two other far-flung schools in the city.
The distribution started on Wednesday, Jan. 25 at Rafael Alunan Elementary School and Arceo Sr. Elem. School – both in Brgy. Alangilan, and included a video presentation and distribution of reading materials on water conservation.
Two hundred students from Felisa Elem. School also received bags, pad papers and pencils.
This BACIWA project is part of the celebration of the Water District Week, targeting 200 students from each school as recipients of the items and to be lectured on conserving water.
Students from two other elementary schools in the city will also receive the same supplies this week, with 200 recipients each in Abkasa Elem. School in Brgy. Mandalagan, and Iluminado Nessia Sr. Elementary School in Brgy. Cabug.* (BCWD)
