Medelian Ballers bag first-PSBL champion title

In a score of 78-53, Medelian Deers of the Luis Medel National High School (LMNHS) won against Bacolod City National High School (BCNHS) in the Public School Basketball League (PSBL) finals at Taculing in Bacolod City on Monday (December 19) to become the champion of the maiden tournament.

The PSBL started last November 12 with 8 participating public schools: Bata NHS, Sum-ag NHS, BCNHS, Alangilan NHS, Negros Occidental High School, Airport NHS, Mansilingan Agro High, and LMNHS.

The team is led by the following: Principal – Cheris L. Flor, Head Coach – Christian Yasa, Asst. Coach – Rommel Coleta; Training staff: Primilou Pedria, J.R. Jee Romero, Joniel Villanueva, and Joel Larioza.

The members of the basketball team are the following players: Edrian Gayanelo, Kurt Villarosa, Daniel Lamayan, Eonel Angel Emmanuel P. Zambales, Joshua Española, Timothy Mission, Jester Paypa, Jherenze Makilan, Francis Ashley Camento, John kenneth Braca, Clarence Seva, Wayne Kyron C.Bañares, Simon Macaya, RJ Macaya and Reymark Ortega (Team Captain).*
