YOUNGEST CHESS FIDE MASTER

Filipino FIDE Master, Alekhine Nouri, who is the current Philippine Juniors Chess Champion, paid a courtesy visit to Gov. Bong Lacson at the Provincial Capitol, today. Nouri was born in Escalante, Negros Occidental. He became the youngest Filipino FIDE Master, and the youngest FIDE Master in the world at the age of 7. He was accompanied by his father, International Master Hamed Nouri, and mother, Rhoda Nouri. They were also welcomed by Provincial Sports Coordinator, Anthony Carlo Agustin.*
