PPCRV looking for volunteers in Negros for election day
The Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV) in Negros Occidental is currently looking for volunteers who will serve during the May 9 National and Local Elections.
PPCRV head Reverend Fr. Chris Gonzales said they are continuing to list volunteers, especially those coming from the local parishes belonging to the local Dioceses of Bacolod, Kabankalan, and San Carlos.
So far, Gonzales said they have listed at least 1,500 volunteers all over Negros Occidental.
Gonzales also said volunteers don’t need to be directly working inside the voting centers since some of the volunteers have yet to reach voting age, and instead their responsibility is to make sure that the elections are transparent.
The PPCRV is a non-partisan, non-sectarian, non-profit organization affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines.
The PPCRV is responsible for poll education campaign and serves as and watchdog against all types of electoral fraud.
Those interested can go to their respective parishes or dioceses.* (DGB)
