Bacolod logs zero COVID-19 case anew
Real-time data from the Emergency Operations Center-Task Force showed that Bacolod recorded zero COVID-19 case anew on Saturday, March 12.
This development was disclosed by Mayor Evelio Leonardia after getting a daily update from the EOC-TF.
It was the third time this year that Bacolod registered zero case for the day.
On February 2 and 21, 2022, the city also had zero COVID, the EOC-TF said.
The first time that the city had zero COVID for the day was in March 2021.
Leonardia echoed his thanks to Bacolodnons for their continued compliance to minimum health protocols despite the deescalation of the city under Alert Level 1 with 38 other cities and provinces in the country out of more than 2,000 local government units.
AL1 is tthe lowest COVID alert classification established by the IATF.
He also reiterated his call to “live with the virus and adjust to it accordingly and cautiously” as AL1 ushers in the new normal.
“This is one of the reasons why Bacolod is one of the 39 LGUs in the Philippines to be deescalated to Alert Level 1 by the IATF,” said Leonardia, who never left Bacolod for 22 months when the pandemic was declared and led the “hands-on” management of the health crisis with Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran and the EOC frontliners.
“Let me thank our people for their cooperation and support. If we work together, we can do and achieve more,” Leonardia said.* (BACOLOD CITY PIO)
