RCB brings disaster relief, response to Typhoon ‘Odette’ victims in Bacolod, Himamaylan, Kabankalan, Sipalay, Cebu
The Rotary Club of Bacolod conducted disaster relief and response to affected communities brought by Typhoon Odette in Cebu City, Purok Angela Gonzaga & ARAO, Brgy. Vista Alegre, Brgy. 13 in Bacolod City, Kabankalan City and in Sipalay City particularly Bgry. Gil Montilla (Purok Cabugan) & Brgy. Nabulao (Purok Hillside) and at Brgy. Aguisan, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental during the period December 19, 21, 22, 23 , 26, and 29, 2021.
The distribution of about 51,650 liters drinking water, grocery packs, food packs, slippers, used clothes and other items was led by Life Changing President Pauline Cuaycong, Past District Governor Edgar Sy, Bacolod City Vice Mayor & Past President El Cid Familiaran, Past President & Club Secretary Frederick Anthony de Leon, Past President Jose Glen de Gusman, Club Directors headed by Marjorie Dino;
Ervin Anglo, Mae Eras, Rotarian Edlyn Agraviador, MJ Malunes, Rudylla Fabillana, Amelyn Bravo, Karl Bravo, the Rotaract Club of Bacolod Colegio de San Agustin represented by Pres. Deanna Therese Cerna, School Moderator Mr. Bong Lacanilao, Mr. Jaypee Rollo, President of the Student Government Council of CSA-Bacolod;
Mr. Kizzer Alejandro of the Interact Club of Bacolod Holy Family High School, Dr. Bambi Avelino, Dr. Paolo Cuaycong, Ms. Stephanie Cuaycong, Ms. Leslie Dino, Mr. Eras, Baby Jonamae, Purok President Wilmer Nobleza, Purok Cabugan, Brgy. Gil Montilla and Purok President Roberto Mahusay, Purok Hillside, Brgy. Nabulao, Sipalay City LGU headed by Hon. City Mayor Maria Gina M. Lizares, Kabankalan City LGU headed Pedro Zayco and the City’s CDRMMO.
About 42 Life Changing Rotarians, Rotaractors, Interactors, Club Secretariat and volunteers joined the relief operations.
