Former CPP-NPA Rebel: Some non-Catholic churches also infiltrated
Former communist-terrorist rebel Jeffrey Celis alias “Ka Eric” confirmed earlier reports that some non-Catholic churches and religious organizations are also infiltrated by the Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF).
“They are not only infiltrated. They also channel church money to help Communist-terrorist activities, too!,” Celis said.
In a virtual “Transparency Forum” on December 23, 2021, Celis even identified high-ranking officials of an umbrella organization of non-Catholic churches.
NDB is temporarily withholding the identities of the officials and their church organizations Celis named and alleged to be financially supporting the CPP-NPA through their “development” undertakings.
In the virtual forum joined by scores of government officials, church leaders and some members of the media, Celis said that his testimonial evidence has been certified in a judicial affidavit.
It is now with the Anti Terrorism Council & the Anti Money Laundering Council, he said.
He also revealed that other than the Iloilo-headquartered organization of churches, other “infiltrated religious groups” include a national council organization, and an independent church that used to be part of the Rome, Italy-based universal church.
Following the Celis revelation, alleged moves against some church group officials were reported to the media.
Officials from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA), Philippine National Police (PNP), Philippine Army, and other regional and national government agencies also joined the Dec. 23 online forum sponsored by the Janiuay Evangelical Church in Iloilo.*
