October 29, 2021

FSCAB President Edgardo Superticioso said the food packs were then turned over to the 75 association heads from 61 barangays, at the FSCAB gym in Barangay 16.

Each association president received at least 10 food packs that will be divided among their members.

Superticioso said the food packs were funded by the city government.

Leonardia said he took time out to oversee the distribution because the senior citizens are a priority.

“FSCAB is one of my projects. I am happy that since 1997 until now, the federation remains an active group,” the mayor said.

Familiaran said the Leonardia administration still has a lot to give to its constituents including the senior citizens but noted that some of their develoment initiatives had been stalled by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Joining the mayor and the vice mayor were Councilors Cindy Rojas, Archie Baribar, Dindo Ramos, and Israel Salanga, and former Councilor Em Legaspi-Ang.

Also with them were Grupo Progreso members Jonathan Diaz, Cashmere Montalvo, Ed Guillem, Marlon Solidum, and Dr. Chris Sorongon.

In November 2019, he said, the SP already passed the ordinance to implement the program.

Mayor Leonardia has already agreed to allocate funds for it in 2022, he added.

“This is a milestone for us. The implementing rules and regulation have already been made,” Baribar said.
