K-9 Unit Search & Rescue group set to establish emergency responders

Negrenses with a common goal of helping boost the number of trained search and rescue volunteers in Negros have bonded together to establish another group that will augment responders in times of emergency, disaster and natural calamities.

Officers and members of K-9 Unit Search and Rescue Entire Philippines Inc. told Negros Daily Bulletin (NDB) they are preparing for another training of its members, during which they also train dogs for search, rescue and retrieval operations.

With its general headquarters at Hermelinda Homes in Mansilingan, Bacolod City, the group has chapters in Victorias, La Castellana, Cauayan, Himamaylan, Cadiz, EB Magalona, and members in other cities and municipalities, and is already establishing presence all over Negros, Panay and other islands.

Founder is Glenn P. Bonda based in Victorias City, and Arnel Dada is Executive Director based in San Carlos City.
