Negros Army 98% fully vaccinated; Ready to carry out duties
CAMP GERONA, Murcia, Negros Occidental – Majority of Negros Army personnel under 303rd Infantry Brigade including its line battalions (62IB & 79IB) headed by Brigadier General Inocencio Pasaporte, Brigade Commander have so far been inoculated with Corona Virus vaccines (SinoVac, Astrazeneca and Pfizer) since the rollout of the Philippine Army’s vaccination drive earlier this year.
Based on the record as of Friday September 18, 2021, 99% fully vaccinated military personnel from 303rd Infantry Brigade, 99% fully vaccinated military personnel from 79IB and 95% fully vaccinated military personnel from 62IB for an overall total of 98% fully vaccinated military personnel deployed within the 303rd Brigade’s area of operations.
The 303rd Infantry Brigade and its line battalions are conducting troop’s information and education (TI & E) program to address issues, concerns, and apprehension of soldiers about being vaccinated.
“Your Army in Negros remains ready to serve our people in these challenging times. The availability of the vaccines is a welcome development and being vaccinated is an opportunity that allows us to carry out our duties of serving the people and securing the land especially the Negrenses. Our troops will make good use of this opportunity to confidently and carefully bestow our duties as we jointly seek an end to this pandemic,” BGen Inocencio Pasaporte said in a statement.
“The Army in Negros is grateful to the local government’s efforts especially the Province of Negros Occidental to have our military personnel be among the first to receive a Covid-19 vaccine,” he added.*
