Rising Covid cases in Negros Occidental forces UNegA to reset assembly; Urges members to file their CoCs early

September 17, 2021

The United Negros Alliance (UNegA) party in the province is postponing its party convention scheduled tomorrow, September 18.

UNegA Secretary General and Cadiz City Mayor Salvador Escalante Jr., in an advisory, said the increasing number of Covid-19 cases in Negros Occidental compelled the executive committee to reset the assembly.

Escalante said they are yet to determine the new date for the assembly.

“As we are fast approaching the filing of our Certificate of Candidacies (COCs) between October 1-8, 2021, you are also advised to do so early to avoid any inconvenience,” Escalante said in the advisory.

“Feel free to keep in touch with the undersigned or any UNEGA officer nearest your LGU in case you will be needing additional CONAs (Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance),” Escalante added.*
