Rotary Club of Bacolod’s ‘Building Minds. Building Futures’; ‘Plant Today for a Better Tomorrow’

The Rotary Club of Bacolod held its annual “Children’s Story Telling & Prayer Teaching”, distribution of educational books, hygiene kits, grocery and food packs last August 15, 2021.

Young children from Brgy. Cabatangan, Talisay City brought their experiences from story telling and prayer teaching activities – producing proficiency to school, their talking and listening that develop creative thinking, communication and teach values.

The Club project was led by Life Changing President Pauline Cuaycong, Club Secretary Frederick Anthony de Leon, Club Directors Marjorie Dino and Mae Eras, Rotarian Emily Cuaycong, guests Dr. Paolo & Ms. Stephanie Cuaycong, Club Secretariat and with logistical assistance from Melba’s Farm of Mr. Alvin Carranza.

Take home hygiene kits, grocery and food packs as well as distribution of books donated by Past District Governor Edgar Sy and Delaware Marketing culminated the activity. ServeToChangeLives.

“Plant Today for a Better Tomorrow”

The Rotary Club of Bacolod, in partnership with Melba’s Farm initiated a tree planting activity last August 15, 2021 at Brgy. Cabatangan, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

Around 222 seedlings where planted at the Melba’s Farm adopted place as part of the continuing project in line with Rotary’s 7th Area of Focus – “Supporting the Environment” and as part of the Club’s goal to plant at least 888 trees this Rotary Year 2021/2022.

At least 42 Rotary Club of Bacolod Life Changing officers and members led by President Pauline Cuaycong & Past District Governor Edgar Sy , visiting guests, Melba’s Farm management, residents of Brgy. Cabatangan participated in the tree planting activity.

The “Plant Today for a Better Tomorrow” tree planting project is an investment which the Rotary Club of Bacolod will pursue by giving its time and resources for the environment and to touch the lives of those involved and the communities it serves. ServeToChangeLives*
