San Carlos Mayor Gustilo Sends Team to Fetch 65 Stranded San Carloseños in Tabuelan, Cebu

September 16, 2020

Mayor Rene Gustilo, through the Humanitarian Assistance Team of CDRRMO San Carlos City in coordination with Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson thru the Provincial Incident Management Team, sends a Rescue Repatriation Team to Tabuelan in Cebu in order to transport and conduct 65 documented LSIs who are stranded for more than a month.

This is the second time LGU San Carlos facilitated such repatriation of its residents who were adversely displaced due to the present pandemic.

The 65 returning residents shall be provided with the necessary food and PPEs and undergo basic health screening protocol once the team will reach them on their way back home.

Upon arrival to the city, they will be oriented by City Health Office as they spend a mandatory 14-day quarantine at the newly and partially opened City Quarantine Facility.

After this repatriation and clearing mission, the return of LSIs from Cebu must abide with the Approved Schedule of Travel with Authorized Port of Disembarkation thru the Humanitarian Assistance Team.

Only upon the “GO SIGNAL” from the LGU should an LSI be allowed to travel with prior coordination and complete documents.
