Outstanding Cops Honored for the Arrest of Regional Most Wanted Persons

The Police Regional Office Negros Island Region recognized police personnel for their outstanding accomplishments in the arrest of Regional Most Wanted Persons during the Distinguished Visitor’s Program and Awarding Ceremony held on July 13, 2026, at Kanlaon Hall, Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr., Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City.

The activity was led by PBGen. Romano V. Cardiño, Regional Director, PRO NIR, and was graced by Atty. Gazzelenne B. Corsame-Fuentes, Officer-in-Charge, CHR-NIR, who served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. It was attended by the Command Group, Regional Staff, Personal Staff, Chiefs of National Support Units, awardees and their families and other officers and personnel of PRO NIR.

The awarding ceremony recognized the dedication, perseverance, and exceptional performance of police personnel whose focused manhunt operations resulted in the successful arrest of Regional Most Wanted Persons. Their dedication reflects PRO NIR’s intensified campaign to ensure that individuals evading justice are located, apprehended, and brought before the courts. Awardees for Outstanding Perpormance:

For their commendable performance as personnel of Ilog Municipal Police Station, NOcPPO in the successful manhunt operation on July 3, 2026 at Barangay Delicioso, Ilog, Negros Occidental that resulted in the arrest of Ranked 7 Regional Most Wanted Person for the crime of Murder.
PCPT EDJEL B TABLATE, Team Leader Pat Kerwin A Itao, Arresting Officer
For their commendable performance as personnel of Santa Catalina Municipal Police Station, NOrPPO in the successful manhunt operation on July 1, 2026 at Barangay Poblacion, Santa Catalina, Negros Oriental that resulted in the arrest of Ranked 9 Regional Most Wanted Person for the crime of Statutory Rape (2 counts).

For their commendable performance as personnel of La Carlota Component City Police Station, NOcPPO in the successful manhunt operation on July 4, 2026 at Ibiza Street, Villa Caridad Subdivision, Barangay III, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental that resulted in the arrest of Ranked 1 Regional Most Wanted Person for the crime of Rape (6 Counts).

PBGen. Cardiño commended the awardees for their dedication and emphasized that every successful manhunt operation reflects the commitment of PRO NIR personnel to uphold the rule of law and deliver justice to victims.
