PRO Joins NIR Brigada Eskwela ’26 Regional Kick-Off Ceremony

The Police Regional Office Negros Island Region, through the Regional Community Affairs and Development Division, actively participated in the Regional Brigada Eskwela 2026 Kick-Off Ceremony held on June 1, 2026, at Talisay Hope GK Sibol Elementary School, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.

The ceremony was graced by Atty. Fatima Lipp D. Panontongan, Undersecretary and Chief of Staff of the Department of Education, who delivered the keynote message and expressed full support for the continued strengthening of the Brigada Eskwela program. Representing PRO NIR, PCPT EVERLY B. CANTO, Chief, CAS/C, FJGADD, RCADD, together with four (4) RCADD personnel, actively took part in the program and supported the implementation of various school preparation activities.

The activity forms part of the nationwide Brigada Eskwela initiative, which promotes volunteerism and community collaboration in preparing schools for the opening of classes, ensuring safe, clean, and conducive learning environments for learners across the country. PRO NIR underscores its strong commitment to community engagement and its sustained support for programs that strengthen partnerships among the PNP, DepEd, LGUs, and the wider community. Beyond its core mandate of maintaining peace and order, PRO NIR continues to actively support initiatives that advance youth development, civic responsibility, and nation-building.
