PLDT Enterprise enables e-learning for Immanuel Bible College; The digital upgrade assures students of continuous learning
Cebu, Philippines – September 2, 2020) PLDT Enterprise, in its steadfast efforts to ensure strengthened digital learning for the education sector, has announced its partnership with Immanuel Bible College (IBC) in Cebu City.
The global pandemic has affected all industries with learning institutions being one of the most vulnerable. Through the partnership, PLDT Enterprise will be extending its academe-centric solutions to IBC—as part of its commitment to continuously assist schools by equipping them with the necessary tools for online learning.
PLDT Enterprise will be deploying Microsoft for Education licenses to IBC, which include Microsoft for Education Suite and Learning Management System (LMS) to enable IBC to deliver training on the Microsoft 365 platform through Sharepoint, Teams, and mobile devices among its teachers and students.
Rev. Wenifredo O. Capapas, Jr. of Immanuel Bible College said that “Our partnership with PLDT Enterprise comes at the most opportune time. PLDT Enterprise has provided LMS with offline capability. With this, all our students need to do is go to areas with sound data signal, download assignments and quizzes, and they may work on these at their homes.”
Microsoft Teams is a digital hub that brings conversations and apps together in one place, allowing teachers to create vibrant learning student engagements. The Collaboration and Productivity Apps of Office 365 enable both students and teachers to work together and create amazing content and seamless communication.
“We at PLDT Enterprise aim to help students continue their education in these trying times. Students studying Theology in IBC will be able to access online learning through the productivity tools provided by PLDT Enterprise to help ensure and facilitate manageable online learning,” said PLDT AVP & Head of Corporate Relationship Management for Visayas Jimmy Chua.
In the advent of online education, PLDT Enterprise aims to redefine the future of learning through its continuous engagement with universities, colleges, and other learning institutions across the country so no learner is left behind.*
