This is good news for Bacolod because the city can truly benefit from the growth of tourism. It has a ripple effect on local businesses, hotels, and local artisans. We are excited about the programs and eager to contribute ideas to support our city’s progress.”
He explained that while challenges remain, particularly in transportation costs and infrastructure such as lighting and road conditions, local officials and private partners are collaborating to address these concerns. Enhancements to the airport, seaport, and street lighting aim to make the city more accessible and safer for visitors.
Mayor Greg’s focus on tourism development aligns with the city’s vision to showcase Bacolod’s unique charm and drive economic growth.
With ongoing initiatives and collective efforts from government and the private sector, Bacolod is poised for continued tourism growth, benefitting residents and visitors alike.* (BCCO text & photos)
