144k Negrenses avail of PhilHealth YAKAP services

A total of 144,207 PhilHealth members in Negros Occidental have availed of medical package under the YAKAP (Yaman ng Kalusugan Program) as of October 31.
Records from Region 6 PhilHealth office show 119,083 members and their 25,124 dependents benefitted from the program where the state health insurance paid P81.793 million.
In Region 6, a combined 772,739 members and their dependents availed of the medical services – from Aklan 137,172; Antique 110,001; Capiz 169,361; Guimaras 40,310; and Iloilo 171,688. PhilHealth paid its health provider partners a total of P416.33 million.
The state health fund has a turn-around-time of 27 days in paying its health provider partners in the region, records show.
YAKAP’s registered members in Negros Occidental is 307,723 with 727, 271 dependents for a total of 1,034,994. The province posted a 32.15% registrants from a projected population of around 3.2 million.
On the regional, level YAKAP’s total registrants is at 832, 306 members with 2,122,368 dependents. Having a regional population of more than 8 million, registration is placed at 36.50%.
