NOCPPO: P340K worth of ‘shabu’ seized in Isabela town, HVI nabbed
ISABELA, Negros Occidental – A high-value individual (HVI) was apprehended and approximately P340,000 worth of suspected shabu was confiscated during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (PDEU) on Saturday afternoon.
The operation led by P/Capt. Rodrigo D. Martinez Jr. of the PDEU Team took place at 2:06 PM on October 11, 2025 at Hacienda Antolanga, Barangay Tinongan, Isabela.
The arrested suspect was identified as alias Joan, a 44-year-old male, married, jobless, and a resident of Magallon Cadre in neighboring Moises Padilla town
According to the report, alias Joan was apprehended after he sold one heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing a white crystalline substance, suspected to be shabu, to a police poseur-buyer.
The total estimated volume of the seized suspected shabu is about 50 grams, with an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) of P340,000.00.
Recovered items included a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu, anothern heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu, one P500.00 bill used as buy-bust money, one black sling bag. The operation utilized two body-worn cameras (BWCs). The arrested suspect was informed of his Constitutional Rights and the Anti-Torture Law.
The suspect is currently detained at the Isabela Municipal Police Station (MPS), while the seized drug evidence will be subjected to laboratory examination at the PNP Provincial Forensic Unit in Bacolod City.
