Mayor Gasataya oversees coordination meeting for plaza rally

Mayor Greg Gasataya convened a coordination meeting with key city departments this Sunday morning at the Bacolod City Plaza to ensure peace and order ahead of a rally scheduled for 1 p.m. today, September 21, 2025, by various organizations.
“We want to assure them that, in terms of traffic management, the city will provide assistance. Let’s do this so that we can air out our sentiments in a peaceful manner,” the mayor said.
Attendees included City Administrator Atty. Mark Mayo, Secretary to the Mayor Atty. Marty Go, Atty. Reuben Mikhail Sabig,head of the Bacolod Traffic and Transportation Management Department, and representatives from the Public Order and Safety Office, General Services Office, and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
The mayor also inspected the ongoing rehabilitation project managed by the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA).
He expressed confidence that ongoing works, including drainage repairs by the Department of Public Works and Highways, would be completed before the MassKara Festival’s opening on October 1.* (Bacolod City Communications Office text & photos)
