Team Marlon Outlasts Team Poblacion, 94-90

With efficient effort, Team 2 Playing-Coach Marlon Parreño and Combo Guard Arnel Machan overcame the strong start of Team 1 (Team Poblacion) in the first half in the ongoing Ikthus Basketball Tournament 2025 at the Ikthus Gym in Mandalagan, Bacolod City.

Suffocating defense was led by Joerose Demonteverde and Jerry Young. Leading the offensive charge in the first half were bigmen Col. Randy Palpara and Rex Romero, with a rare fast break score from Tsong Jalandoni at the end of first half.

Meanwhile in the 3rd quarter, the Yunque Brothers wreaked havoc inside the painted area with Toto Yunque dishing off an assist to sharpshooter Borge Telequido and center Harry Yunque to give 14 points lead in 3rd quarter.

Rhodney Puyong and Lito Dumdum, both came from fresh return, came up big and contributed double digit points in 3rd and 4th quarter run. Coach Marlon Parreño set the tone late in the fourth quarter run countering opponents by matching out there players to secure the win by 4 points.*
