Be ashamed to yourselves!

This was the categorical statement hurled by PBBM in his 2025 State of the Nation Address or SONA before millions and millions of people across the country watching live his very much awaited report on the state and situation of our county today.

From the assembly of congressional representatives and actual spectators witnessing the SONA, a resounding clapping of hands with a standing ovation were displayed in the four corners of the Batasang Pambansa.

“Mahiya Naman Kayo!” in Filipino language directly pinpointing to corrupt officials with clear records of associating with private contractors with a sole interest of satisfying their greed and caprices.

Actually, this issue has been there customarily but not exposed publicly. I feel PBBM could no longer swallow the propelling battle cry of the citizens complaining against the impact of substandard projects orchestrated in concert by corrupt officials that resulted to the dismal and frustrating results of the midterm elections and the loss of trust and confidence to the administration. Now PBBM has come out in the open to prosecute the guilty in the bar of public opinion.

Former BAYAN MUNA representative Neri Colmenares in fact reacted: WHY NOW? when President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. had been in power and authority for the last three years and succumbed only now to too many criticisms from the public.

What I think now, PBBM has learned from history, most especially on the record of his father how he was overthrown in power, thus PBBM’s SONA came from the bottom of his heart, and I want to witness his punitive action or else it will be tagged as a mere LIP SERVICE!*
