CIDG-NIR Officers Visit Gov. Lacson

P/Lt. Col. Richard B. Gumboc, Officer-in-Charge of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Regional Field Unit – Negros Island Region (NIR), paid a courtesy call to Negros Occidental Governor Bong Lacson at the Provincial Capitol Monday this morning. He was joined by P/Lt. Col. Lawrence Gerald Bathan, Deputy Regional Chief of CIDG-NIR.

The CIDG serves as the primary investigation arm of the PNP, tasked with probing major crimes, particularly those related to economic sabotage, organized crime, and violations of special laws.

The unit also conducts operations to apprehend notorious wanted persons and provides investigative support to other PNP units.* (Capitol PIO text & photos)
