City To Launch Bacolod Sunday Market And Kadiwa Ng Pangulo

The City Government of Bacolod, under the leadership of Mayor Albee Benitez, is set to launch the Bacolod Sunday Market and Kadiwa ng Pangulo on February 23, 2025, from 6:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Bacolod City Government Center Grounds.

This initiative aims to provide a platform for small businesses, promote sustainable agriculture, and strengthen the local food economy by directly connecting farmers and fisherfolk with consumers.

The Bacolod Sunday Market and Kadiwa ng Pangulo will showcase a variety of fresh and locally produced goods, including fresh and cooked seafood, seasonal fruits, vegetables, plants and succulents, herbs, fresh and processed mushrooms, fresh and cooked eggs, brewed coffee, kakanins, and fresh lettuce.

Participating producers include:
• HUCAFC Chairpersons on Fishery – Fresh, processed, and cooked seafood
• HUCAFC Chairpersons on Agriculture – Fresh vegetables
• Adiangawan Small Farmers Association – Seasonal fruits (buko, banana, Indian mango, jackfruit, etc.)
• Bacolod City Ornamental Growers Association/Garden Clubs – Plants and succulents
• Twenty Six Herb Garden – Herbs
• Haze; Gil Campañero – Fresh and processed mushrooms
• Brgy. 1 (Hapag Awardee) – Fresh vegetables and eggs
• Senior Citizens of Purok San Dionisio, Granada – Fresh vegetables
• LAB for All Egg Laying Project Beneficiaries – Fresh and cooked eggs
• Jocelyn Comedia and Cirilo Pagunsan – Brewed coffee
• Marnie Talidong, Emie Lasquite, and Ludy Rivera – Kakanins (linupak, suman, veggie balls, boiled sweet potato/banana, etc.)
• Lettuce Growers – Fresh lettuce in a cup
