NYLI Inc. launches first-ever counseling session to support children and youth well-being
In a hope-driven effort to democratizing access to youth mental health, the Negrosanon Young Leaders Institute Inc. (NYLI Inc.) officially launched its first-ever counseling session Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the Hulot sang Pamatan-on, Bacolod City. This initiative provides a safe space for children and young people to seek guidance, emotional support, and empowerment with the help of mental health professionals.
Recognizing the growing challenges faced by today’s youth, NYLI Inc. aims to create an
accessible and inclusive platform where children and young people can openly discuss personal struggles, concerns, and emotional well-being with trained professionals.
The sessions are facilitated by Dr. Aileen Alvarez, Resident Guidance Counselor, and Dr. Ana Panganiban, Resident Psychologist, providing expert care and tailored support for the recipients. Counseling sessions are held weekly, available both online and in person, and are scheduled after online registration.
“We have finally opened our doors to professional support to children and young people. This is one of our dreams come true, and we are one step closer to a community of care and of a gentle world,” said Kevin G. Gaitan, the Executive Director of NYLI Inc.
NYLI Inc. expresses its gratitude to the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental for its unwavering support and belief in this vision for young people.
This milestone reflects NYLI’s mission to nurture young minds, foster resilience, and promote mental health awareness. By offering professional counseling services, NYLI bears the hope of creating a community of care, understanding, and emotional well-being among Negrosanon children and youth.* (PR)
