Capitol eyes completion of New Prov’l Administration Center in June

January 31, 2025

The new Provincial Administration Center is being targeted to be finished by June, this year with the completion report now at 50 percent, Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz II said.

The new seven-storey PAC building at the Capitol property between Gatuslao and Calamba Streets in Bacolod City, Diaz said, will house all the Capitol department offices, including that of the Governor and the Provincial Administrator.

Dynamic Builders Incorporated won the bidding in the construction of the new PAC building, which started in 2022.

“I am hoping that they can really make good of their promise,” Diaz said, apparently referring to its contractor.

The P900 million budget for PAC includes its furniture, fixtures, elevators, and a generator.

To compliment the new PAC building, the provincial government also established multi-level parking facility at the old Motorpool compound that can accommodate up to 114 vehicles.

The facility accommodates the province’s service vehicles under the Capitol Cab system and vehicles of the provincial government employees.

Aside from the ongoing construction of the Provincial Health Office bodega inside the motorpool area, Diaz said that the provincial government will also construct storage facilities for the Provincial Engineering and General Service Offices.* (EYA)
