Bacolaodiat Festival preps up to usher in Year of the Snake
Leaving no stone unturned and recognizing the collaborations with the different agencies, Bacoloadiat Festival organizers held a coordination meeting with national agencies, volunteer organizations, the Bacolod City’s offices to ensure a safe and orderly festival.
The Bacolaodiat Incorporated and its organizers met with the representatives from the Bacolod City Police Office, Bureau of Fire Protection, Chamber Fire Protection, Philippine Red Cross, Bacolod Traffic Authority Office, Bacolod Environment Protection and Recycling Office, Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, City Legal Office, and Negros Electric and Power Corporation.
Bacolaodiat Festival Chair John Stephen Sy and Events Manager Zadhea Solinap led the
organizing team in briefing the concerned agencies and offices on the festival dates and sites for January 31 to February 2, 2025.
“With your help and support, we aim to have a safer and more successful celebration of the
Bacolaodiat Festival this 2025,” Sy said, emphasizing the importance of collaboration to achieve the shared vision.
Festival sites include 6th to 13th Lacson Streets and the main festival site at the North Capitol Road.
This year’s Bacolaodiat Festival is set to feature cultural performances, lantern street and arena dance competition, Asian food crawl, among other promising experiences for locals and tourists.
The Snake is the sixth animal in the zodiac, and it has a complex and mysterious nature. This Zodiac Animal represents wisdom, knowledge, intelligence, intuition and creativity. Snakes are also associated with good luck, prosperity, fertility and longevity.* (Bacolaodiat Festival)
