Sister Flolyn Catungal, OSA is new LCC Bacolod president
La Consolacion College (LCC) Bacolod has announced the appointment of Sister Flolyn Catungal, OSA, as its new president. Sister Flolyn, 57, brings a wealth of experience and a robust advocacy for women empowerment to her new role.
With eight years dedicated to the Socio- Pastoral Ministry of the Augustinian Sisters of Our Lady of Consolation, Sister Flolyn’s previous assignments include various La Consolacion schools across Luzon. She has been a pivotal figure in religious education and women’s rights, serving as Executive Secretary and co-chair of the Conference of Major Religious Superiors in the Philippines from 2010 to 2012.
Her international experience includes a five-year tenure as Coordinator of Religious Education for the Archdiocese of Vancouver St. Joseph’s Parish, Canada. Sister Flolyn has also been a significant force in the fight against human trafficking, acting as the Main Animator of Asia-Pacific Women Religious Against Human Trafficking, a pioneering initiative under the International Union of Superior Generals.
Additionally, Sister Flolyn has served as a Member of the Board of Urban Missionaries, and she is currently the Superintendent of the Association of Schools of the Augustinian Sisters as well as the Counselor of Apostolate.
Sister Flolyn succeeds Sister Joan Brigida Corazon S. Infante, OSA, who will be assuming a new assignment at La Consolacion College Tanauan in Batangas.
